Sacramento Capitals Wheelchair Tennis Association

SCWTA is composed of athletes who are high achieving men and women who work, have families, and are positive contributors to the work force and in the greater Sacramento area.   Members have a passion for tennis and a commitment to supporting individuals face the adversity of a disability and to focus on possibilities rather than limitations.

Our Tournament

Our annual tournament is made possible by the hard work of a core of dedicated volunteers who raise money and inkind donations, conduct outreach to seek out new wheelchair tennis players, and organize and host the annual event.  Over the course of 2 1/2 days competitors in the open, "A", "B", "C" and novice divisions play tennis, enjoy good food, and some go home with prize money that facilitates their continued participation in wheelchair tennis.

Over the past five years the SCWTA Board of Directors has expanded the annual tournament to include players with national and world ranking and who are members of the United States Tennis Association and the International Tennis Foundation.
